Plan a trip to Dominical, Uvita and Peninsula de Osa where the Hump Back Whales are dancing around.
Two weeks ago I was lucky to see them while taking a yatch day trip to Isla Tortuga. We left Los Suenos’ Marina in Herradura (80min from San Jose) at 10am and headed to Isla Tortuga. For the first time I had fresh Oysters right on the beach ($2 each) with chopped onions and freshly squeezed lime juice… Started with one and couldn’t stop, they were amazing. If you go, you’ll see the guys on a small “panga” a wooden boat, make sure to bring a cold beer and enjoy.
After a few hours enjoying the beach, we headed back and we saw the beautiful whales jumping all the way out of the water… Truly amazing!
Now you can go to Bahia Ballena, where you can take a whale watching tour. If you are interested in more details musically fans no verification or survey on where to stay around Bahia Ballena or further souh, just write to me and I’ll give you all the details.
